The moon shone brightly in the velvet sky, casting its silvery glow on the rippling ocean below.the wind blew wildly through my hair stinging as it whipped against my face, my eyes were red from the salt water tears that had escaped down my cheek.Looking out into the water the little voice in the back of my mind tried to talk me out of what i was about to do"they love you! why are you doing this, just turn around and walk home!" I managed to silence the annoying voice with great difficulty. I arose from my awkward crouch at the end of the pier and took a step back from the edge. Taking a deep breath i shifted my weight to the balls of my feet preparing for the jump. The echo of footsteps across the rough wood of the pier was muffled by the desperate pleas of my mother."Rose don't do this! please honey come home" the footsteps continued to get louder as she approached the place I was standing" Please Rose don't do this! No one blames you Darling!"
I tried to ignore her because I knew if I turned around and saw the crystal clear tear beading of her childish face I would pelt full force down the pier towards her, tell her everything alright and give her a massive hug, completely forget why I was here, becuase although she didn't blame me my father on the other hand did. You see my name is Rosalie Smith and right now I am standing on the edge of the pier at palm beach where a year ago I was drowning and my Fathers favorite daughter ( my loving sister Hayley) had jumped in to save and although she saved me she herself got swept into the currents and drowned and i know to this very day my Father wishes it had been me.
